I've been keeping tarantulas for over 25 years. A very misunderstood animal with undeserved bad press. Generally harmless. Just don't handle the bad tempered ones! They give off plenty of warnings If they're not in the mood.

These are two pets I had, the first pic I had Chester second and then the second one was Kiki, who I don't remember very well as she ran away when I was quite young and got hit by a car sadly, she didn't look very happy though there my mom loved them but didn't want them in the house and my dad was often gone at work <3 I loved Chester but my parents decided to give him to a couple with more time for him and room too when I was a little kid, I cried and cried but then the first couple had a heart attack in the family so had to return him and I remember sitting there on the back deck and he came out from the kitchen and I was so surprised to see him and he licked my tears away and I hugged him <3 But then they had to give him away still <3 Yeah that's me in the '90s with him *giggles*

@Baku. This is my big girl. Female Brazilian black, my daughter named her Larry lots of legs! She's 14 years old. Had her from a spidering.

Jesus, I got scared to pieces when I saw the spider. Spiders and I totally don't get along and I keep having nightmares about them.

What an intense black she has, and 14? Wow.

Oh thank you very much, they were very sweet and beautiful puppers wuh <3 I have a picture of a one-eyed kitty cat who adopted us and she was so precious too I will have to find a pic of her but it's not a very good one, she lived to be 15 but was about 9 when she found us, poor thing had a rough life but she stayed inside mom was okay with that by then awuhrrr <3 She died one night I went to check on her and she was rigor mortis it broke my mom's heart she cried so bad then she died about a year later from complications of her years of alcoholism but there were many good years and she was sober for three years prior sorry got off track awuhrrr she was always a wonderful mother though <3 Nighty <3

this is my baby, Cindy. Had her since she was a kitten, she's about 20 years old now. We grew up together and share a very close bond, I try to get over to my dad's every week to visit her for a snuggle sesh.
