people who's gonna ctb in a hotel room

are you gonna try staying there for a night first to figure out how the situation is like there? probably a different stay period from your ctb day
or are you gonna book a hotel you're familiar with?
or are you just gonna do it directly even though it's your first time at that hotel?

Never been to the hotel before but the plan is to check in sometime in the morning then just spend the rest of the day in the room getting a feel of things. Plenty of time to get settled, get a feel of how thin the walls might be as well. Then I'll probably wait until night to actually CTB, once I've got the last of my arrangements in order.

I was going to stay in advance of ctb so I could see how the hotel works and to acclimatise myself to it for my ctb stay but lockdown has ruined both.

There are exceptions - such as staying in a hotel for work or because you can't stay in your main residence, but idk if they would ask for evidence.

I think in most countries the hotels will allow u to stay ... People have started working now and things have opened up... So that should be OK if u check in for a day or two .. How do u plan to ctb .. SN or hanging

Yes, hotels start to open again. Couldn't get SN in my country. I'll go by hanging

I'm thinking about a hotel near my home, that I've stayed at a few times. It's very laid back and comfortable. The people that work there are very nice. If I go thru with the hotel OD plan, I might stay a night or two just relaxing...watching cable TV...reminiscing about my life....making sure the plan will work.

I would not suggest to ctb in a hotel, who knows how many cases occure, in which they stopped people from ctb,while they did it or while they hang. I am pretty sure Hotel employees are trained to recognize suicidal guests, when they want to check in. Then they might say sorry we are full.

Or the guest has an reservation and they come to see after him later, maybe in hotelrooms there is audio observation.

I'm not sure about non-US hotels. But over here, if I were CTB'ing in a hotel room, i would take my SN in the morning, after the workers have cleaned the room.

This would buy you close to 24 hours before getting found. Not to mention, there are not many people in the hotel during the day time.

Word of advice for anyone planning to do the exit bag method at a hotel. Don't. Someone was planning to do that in a ctb thread but he said the gas tank was too loud so he went with plan b and took n instead. the gas tank sound might alarm the hotelers near by that there's a water leak or something. Then hotel staff might investigate thus someone possibly sabotaging your attempt.
