It's often said that time mends all wounds, but in truth, time seems to etch those wounds deeper into our souls. Each passing moment becomes a chisel, carving out the pain with precision, embedding it further into our being. The fleeting hope that things will get better fades away, leaving behind an ache that seems to grow as the days go by.

Alas, the countdown to my inevitable exit is ticking louder by the day.

I feel the same way 🫂❤ My wounds will never heal no matter how hard I try. Time has taken its toll. The bus is waiting for me and I have my ticket ready

I certainly believe that as time goes on the suffering increases and existing becomes more torturous. Anyway I wish you the best, I hope that you eventually find the freedom you search for.

Yeah, i've always hated that saying. I'm not going to argue that time can't be a factor, but people treat it like a pancea.

I have a complete inability to forget. The more time passes, the longer I have to replay everything in my head. And the more everything replays, the more it hurts. I live that trauma over and over and over again.

Even if you adapt to familiar you get new things to play with later. Life is a gift that keeps giving :D.

Only non-existence forever heals all wounds.

Mindboggling to me that people believe in and wish for afterlives , reincarnation etc why so you can relive trauma ,horrible memories for trillions to the quintillion to the septillion power years.

I'll never believe that. i"ll always believe after death is non-existence forever no suffering no pain no problems no bad memories ever again

If you don't exist you can't suffer nor remember anything nor wish for anything

I resonate deeply with this sentiment. If I died today, the haunting echoes of the agonies endured throughout my life would cease to reverberate within my mind. Each resurgence of a sorrowful or painful memory serves only to intensify the profound sadness entrenched within me.

Only non-existence forever heals all wounds.
This is the sad truth.

I guess that saying can be used against itself, time heals smaller problems like cuts but not the wounds that don't go away by themselves or the scars that never go away.

agreed. and it might even have had some truth if it wasn't so overused and parroted, so much that it just becomes common pro-life drivel...

time doesn't get rid of problems but creates more, including prolonging the suffering.

Time may be able to heal some wounds for some people, but it can also make them worse and make them hurt even more. Either way, it's an overused saying that isn't really helpful.

It actually more of a subjective statement, maybe if soembody find something/someone can took the pain away or make them forgot about the pain that they have, "time will heal" will have some truth in it.

With all being said, if there's nobody or nothing can take that away from you (due to some complex circumstence that you experience), then "time will heal" statement would just be a lie or at worst, make things worse

Just make sure that in the end, you are the one who decided your fate, not people or this statement

Nobody ever talks about the additional/reopened wounds that are inflicted during the time the initial one is trying to heal.

Cut by cut, less of you bouncing back each time.

Time doesn't heal anything. The pain of what happened will always be there, even if we don't really feel it - a little part of it will still impact us forever.
Time personally makes everything worse, as you keep thinking about whatever happened in the past you constantly feel it and you slowly discover more and more of what you didn't realise initially, just adding to it, it's such an unbearable and sickening pain.
