hey
@Carryline
. I emailed them back in 2024 Christmas time. No one got back to me at all. Not even a polite email to turn me down. Apparently the main admin guy was called Christopher and he sounded like a twat from what others said-not sure if he still works there with the heat they got. It all depends on your age and circumstances. I think they are worried about bad publicity and being sued. I don't even have the money but I was thinking I could get different loans from cards as I have ok credit. I think they much prefer a person to be over 50 if there is no physical health issues. There was an instance of a thirty-something year old man that forged documents that he had something bad possibly terminal illness (he obviously was severely depressed etc but nothing physically wrong with him). And his family were very angry. It's a tricky one I do feel they are money oriented. So if you pay and give donations plus have some medical documentation to back up why you want to end it they may consider. It's always worth a try. Some people have been ripped off though. I think payed in the hundreds to have their documents assessed and I think you don't get that back. It's definitely more flexible than Dignitas, they

won't take someone with a mental illness at this current time. I don't think it's easy to do but it's definitely not impossible to go to Pegasos. Its not the most beautiful place but its nice enough. Im sure there was another instance of a teacher here in his early 50s went with dubious health issues and his family were also very mad about it. I kinda understand but ultimately i believe he was of sound mind and clearly had enough its not like at 50 plus its going to magically get better. If you have loving family and friends etc they may be much more hesitant. So
@Carryline I'm very sorry you are in this position where life is too much/too painful etc. And all you want is to safely and peaceful end it. No lingering death, in a warm room with a person to be with at the end, comfort of knowing it won't result in some kind of brain injury or other extreme disability that just compounds all the original pain. I wish you all the best and I'd be interested in what the response will be from them. If you're willing to share would be informative to know if there is wiggle room. Sending you compassion and love!
