Get to a hospital immediately. Paracetamol OD only hurts your organs badly. Don't waste anytime

You will likely experience symptoms such as abdominal pain, nausea and vomiting, diarrhea, possible jaundice, and sweating. Getting down 40 of those big tablets is a lot, surprised you haven't vomitted already. However, the huge risk here is that much will very likely cause some long term damage to the liver and also kidneys. Some symptoms may not even occur for hours after the acetaminophen was swallowed.

To be honest, I would strongly suggest getting to the ER and getting the anecdote n-acetylcysteine (NAC) to avoid permanent damage and ending up in more pain and suffering than before.

See: Why ODs Fail Miserably (A Guide). FYI Tylenol accounts for only around 500 deaths per year in the U.S even though around 60 million people consume it each week (Paracetamol & Tylenol are the same active ingredient of acetaminophen). Not worth attempting with it or really any other med, should be considered a very big non-method.

If you go to hospital quickly you won't suffer any consequences, but go as soon as you can.

GET TO THE ER NOW!!!

You WILL HAVE LIVER DAMAGE, and I have seen folks die from liver failure and you DO NOT want to go that way ever.

CALL YOUR EMERGENCY NUMBER OR GO TO ER AND GET YOUR STOMACH PUMPED NOW!

Okay so its already been more than 50 hours after I overdosed, and I have no symptoms plus my blood tests are also all normal, is there a chance I can die?

100% honest with you, I do not know.

HOWEVER, you WILL have liver damage.

I am 68 years old, and I mention this only because I have seen a person in my life die from liver failure and it was HORRIBLE. The person was on a waiting list for a transplant and did not make it. His skin and eyes turned a dull yellow, as his body was poisoning itself. The pain and everything that the poor soul went through before he gasped his final breath was HELL ON EARTH, and I would NEVER EVER wish that on anyone.

With you being much younger than me, my 100% guess is that down the road, not right now, some day because of all the paracetamol that you ingested, your liver will start to slowly quit working and then the hell starts.

I can still close my eyes, he drank himself to death, he was an alcoholic and watching him in the hospital bed having his own body poison itself because his liver stopped working was too much for me to take.

If nothing else go to ER and be 100% honest with medical and tell them how much you took and let them decide the appropriate way to help you.

I consider you family on here and I NEVER EVER want someone to pass on in such a horrible painful and very slowly way.

Walter
