Help Opened the bottle containing SN

A week ago the SN I ordered got delivered in the mail. I was very happy to finally receive it. The bottle and seller didn't seem sketchy, but I wanted to check whether it really looked like SN. So I opened the bottle. Now I'm afraid that the sodium nitrite will turn into sodium nitrate because it was exposed to air. I'm planning to ctb at the beginning of November. Will it turn into sodium nitrate quickly enough that I won't be able to consume it in November? What will happen if I consume the sodium nitrate anyway?

Also, I'm putting 20g into capsules, so I'm thinking about leaving acid regulators out. Will that affect the SN in any way?

Will be ok. Worst case is it will turn onto a solid lump. Then just bring it up again. It is a salt. It won't turn into nitrate as the chemical reaction needed just won't happen like that. It is quite a process. You will be fine.

I second JimFord99. I did the same thing when I got my SN. I had the bottle open for half an hour while I was measuring out different doses. Then I discovered the "turns to nitrate when exposed to air" thing.

I called the supplier. He said yes, it does do that, but it was a very slow reaction, and you would have to leave the bottle open for months for that to happen.

He said having it open for half an hour would have no detectable effect.

Don't acid regulators taken because they prevent the reaction of stomach acid and sodium nitrite?

i think someone on here has achieved suicide by only taking the pills, no acid reducers

How we know if that person didn't feel any pain caused by not taking an antacid? Stomach acid neutralizes SN, also your body produces more stomach acid when you ingest SN, an that may cause pain. Not worth the risk imo.

It will slow down the process of the capsules dissolving in your stomach if you take acid regulators, I think.

Oh, I didn't think that way. Then maybe it's reasonable.

Still, I'm too scared to take the SN :( Maybe I can never be succeed unless there would be a button that instantly kills me.

I left my SN in the factory sealed plastic tub and in the box it came in. Should be fine as it's in a cool dry place away from sunlight too.

Agree. The tub I have says expiry date 2022, but that is certainly not the end of its usage. It will last for many years!
