I would like to know if this one doesn't sound cold or hateful. This note will most likely be found by a random person on the entrance of the abandoned structure in which I'll ctb (I don't really have a choice).

It's quite short, but I like it. Not sure whether "You'll get through this " is true though. I would imagine most parents will never get over their son or daughter's suicide.

I know they will. We've lost three close relatives (due to illness). They are brave people.

No parent gets over the loss of there child! When there child dies a part of them dies too and they have to live with that pain for the rest of there lives! It's the worst pain ever and one of the biggest traumas a parent can go through! I lost my son and will never focus properly again, my almost perfect life is shattered and I live with the pain everyday. I never wanted to die until this happened, now it's all I think about.

I'm so sorry for the loss of your child ): I'm merely young (18) and the thought of my mom finding out I died will take a part of her. Those who don't have loving family or friends are lucky so they can leave this world without guilt of hurting anyone, but I still wish those people do have loving friends and family so they can be happy. My condolences and much love

Western culture drills into us in every conceivable way the notion that life is a precious gift and death is a terrible tragedy. So, Suicide is In many ways like rejecting a hard core religion. As such it's nearly impossible to write a good note, as it's like telling someone who hardcore believes in God there is no God. Simply too much brainwashing/they will just interpret the note whatever way they want based on Cultural norms etc. However, you are not responsible for how they feel as a result of your death. For instance, if I come out as gay and my parents disown me etc., it's not my responsibility that it caused my parents all this stress from coming out as gay, etc. They brought you Into existence without permission and are trying to enforce these values onto. Which is what the hardcore stance against suicide is-hardcore group norms. No different than being gay a few hundred years ago.

I think you should keep it simple. A long letter will create confusion and your friends/family will probably find a way to blame themselves.
