Discussion Not burdening hotel workers

I'm choosing to die in a hotel room, but I feel guilty about making people clean up my mess. I also want to leave tips for them, ideally, and I want to make sure it goes to those who find me or clean me up (aah). I'm pondering now about the best way to distribute those tips, given I will be dead as shit and obviously can't hand them out meanwhile.

I have thought about stashing money in different places. Perhaps some obvious money in or by my belongings with a note, and then putting bills in different places where the cleaning staff might find them. Since we might poop when we die, lovely I know, I'm probably going to want to wear a diaper as well. FWIW I am not at all rich, just hate burdening people.

Can anyone relate? If so, what might be some ways to lessen the burden on hotel workers? X games bonus question: any hotel workers want to chime in? Would it be better to die in nature?

Yeah, I mean, I think that's the extent of what I can do. Just not leave a mess and a tip.

In the end, you can't do a whole lot more than ensuring that hotel workers aren't the ones to actually discover you. The emotional trauma of that is far worse than any inconvenience for them doing the cleaning up afterwards.

Additionally, if your scene happens to be particularly gruesome, the hotel will likely get specialist forensic cleaners in anyway.

There may be issues around the room being a crime scene, as well as hotel rules on accepting money, that might make any donations you left problematic. Just be aware of this.

You should be able to find threads about this particular aspect. Things are suggested like putting a warning note on the inner door of your hotel room, if it has an inner door. Otherwise pre-scheduled e-mails or texts to emergency services. The threads will elaborate.

No problem, and there are definitely existing threads comparing the benefits of different delayed e-mail and text services.
