Not being notified when a message is received

I haven't use Sasu for a while. If I remember correctly I used to be notified when someone private messages me. I still get notified when someone starts a conversation but not pm (private message), I think if not mistaken I used to also be notified by email but not anymore. So do you get notified or not and if yes how can I fix this thanks.

Do you mean when someone sends you a chat private message versus an inbox?

I think I've figured this out. On the chat page you have separate settings from the ones on your profile, and you need to turn those notifications on.
