I just think it's really so cruel and terrible how we exist in this dreadful anti-suicide world where preferring non-existence is simply not allowed, the decision when to cease existing should be viewed as a personal choice and there's just so much cruelty in how it isn't with the suffering and torture of existing seen as to force and prolong no matter what, suicide prevention just causes way more suffering and harm, there just needs to be the option to cease existing painlessly that is guaranteed.

Always said that suicide prevention is just about guilt tripping people to stay alive when they don't want to, literally forcing people to live.

this world is unliveable for a lot of people. oppressions are everywhere. a lot of well-intended people seem to prefer confronting those who are suicidal because of this system we live in, rather than confronting the system itself. i believe this is because its the most easy way to act, but still... i wish people tried a little bit harder to understand why we are killing ourselves. to empathize rather than try to prevent us at all cost. maybe some of us would actually be less tempted to commit suicide that way

You make an interesting point that I hadn't thought about. The police tend to pull over the slowest speeders. They are more likely to catch the one doing 65 in the 55 zone than the one doing 80 when traffic is high.

By the same token... it is so much easier to try and stop the suicidal person than to try and change the conditions brought on by all the other people that made that person suicidal in the first place.

We are all living the Kobayashi Maru scenario, and we desperately need Kirk to change the conditions of the test so that it is possible to win!

Yeah obviously because the state needs your taxes and work, and people depend on you, so what can you do? That said I'm pretty sure the opposite is happening, the legislation for euthanasia is getting developed more and more. Canada offers you to kill yourself if you break a fucking limb.

this world has been occupied by babylonians for centuries now. you serve a purpose to Babylon once you've been stripped of your soul and left decaying. your presence makes the world worse and infects those who may not be as blasted as you just through witnessing you or even by being in close proximity. in the eyes of Babylon, this is good since the goal ultimately is to make the world so hellish that god comes down to destroy it or something. they wouldn't want you to die, they know once your heart of gold has been robbed from you you'd yearn for death indefinitely. you have to manage on your own. plus its not like they make it entirely impossible for you and I think that's on purpose, they'll let you opt out if you want it badly enough.
