So, I got caught preparing yesterday, and my parents made some good points. I don't really have too many good reasons. Well, I do. But they could possibly be fixed with years of therapy and hard work. I just really want to ctb. Like, badly. I don't care. I just want to die already.
Does anyone else have this?

The only person I've told is my bf and he doesn't think my reasons are good. But mine can't be fixed via therapy.

I'd say go for getting help. You don't have anything to lose in not getting help.

That your reasons are important to you means they are reason enough. However, if their points seem sound, giving their way a try might be a worth a shot. As [NoName] says, you don't have anything to lose. Give it a fair shake and see what it nets you. After all, you're not forever giving up the option to ctb.

Do I have a similar situation? Maybe. It's hard to say. I think a lot of us probably do, if we're completely honest. Dig in and give more than we think we have, or even just more than we want to give, and seek a way out? Why, when we want to die? Hell, I don't know. Dying is a hell of a lot simpler, I do know that. When you hope the light at the end of the tunnel is an oncoming train, so you can step in front of it, discovering that it might be the way out, after a long, long slog, can be disspiriting.

I know I want to die. I can sure sympathize with you on that!

I don't know your situation. I don't know how old you are, and whether you might have enough life left to you that the investment in effort is worth it. I don't know if you have the remaining reserves for the work it might take you to climb out of the pit.

But if you're considering your parents' option, I'd strongly suggest you take it.

I agree with TiredHorse, if you're considering your parents options at all, you should definitely take it. At least to see how it goes. As he pointed out, it doesn't mean you can't ever CTB, it just means that you still have some fight in you, and that's very admirable. I don't even remember what it was like to have fight and spirit and life in me, so if you have even a shred of it, it's something to hold on to. If you find that you don't have the energy, or you're losing the fight, then you can always reconsider your options later.

Oh, well said, @Lunaemoth! Well said! Thus is truth, as I see it.

If you still have any fight, then you fight. Fight all the way to the mat, and if the time comes that you have no more fight in you, you can end your life in peace, knowing you've given it your honest all.

Haven't talked it through with anyone, but talking it through with myself, I know that my reasons are dumb compared to other people. I do know that, but it changes fuck all— still wanna and will kill myself.

I feel your distress . I missed The date that I intended to CTV and now I'm faced with her and his consequences. I have extremely valid reasons, but somehow I now need to get the strength to finish quickly. You have hope and a future please give it that

No such thing as a good or bad reason. All that matters is how badly it effects you as an individual. Your dog could have died which isn't a good reason to ctb for most people since they will say get a new dog but it effected you so badly that you cannot function properly anymore. It's up to you to determine if it's a good enough reason.

Now that doesn't mean don't try your best to get over it. Because you actually might get over it. But after you try and if you still can't recover then ctb'ing is the best option instead of suffering the rest of your life.

My therapist told me the same things, she said that I have a good life that everyone dreams to have. She also went onto make points like Idk what suffering is, the real suffering is of homeless & disabled people. Little does she know that idgaf about what she says. Everyone has their reason to ctb, doesn't matter if they are reasonable or not. Tbh everyone should have a choice to end their life whenever they want to.

True, but we have to consider that ctb wrong and not final could make you disabled and/or homeless...
