Water won't help.
Sometimes when I get out of the shower I have a drop of water in my ear and everything sounds really muffled and it's annoying.
So the ocean won't help.

What causes tinnitus?

I think she's asking if the frigid waters of the North sea will kill her.

Tinnitus is caused by lots of things. I got mine from rock and roll.

I think if you could bear to stay in it then you'd get hypothermia, but it would be unpleasant. I've been thinking of hypothermia, but a better way in my opinion is to drink quite a bit of alcohol (it helps you to lose heat faster and to fall asleep faster), then nod off in a tent. It doesn't have to be freezing, just cold - that's one of my plans, might double it up with CO at the same time.

There's a great thread about how to die in water with hyperventilation. Look it up, it was very informative.

If it's the cold you're looking for, maybe wait a few weeks..I grew up on the north sea coast, this time of year it's still warm enough to swim.

That's not peaceful. Frigid water hurts.

Once you get past the shivering stage, where the body attempts to warm you up, and your mind begins to slow and become paralyzed, you start feeling sleepy, thats when the comfiness hits, and you start to lose consciousness. I'd advise snow over floating in the sea though.

Im not sure what anyone else can give you Susan? Various members have suggested different things to try and suggested a video on your last post which seemed really good at helping people with tinnitus. There's plenty of threads with different CTB methods on them.
