About 2 years ago. I had no idea what was causing it. Saw so many doctors, specialists, etc. I slowly realized it was from psych meds. Mostly sleeping pills. My doctor told me to "Just go off of them". I did...going cold turkey off of them DESTROYED me, physically and mentally. Have gone back on and off of them..trying to taper, ect. has gotten so bad i can't stand the pain.

You are very kind for responding. I have tried to explain this symptom to psychiatrists...they don't understand it.

I'm very concerned because I'm disabled myself with a rare disease nobody can cure. I know what is constant pain, stress, isolation, no hope... I take sleeping pills too (and valium) but I try to reduce them because I know the consequences of long term use. But the doctors cannot understand. You know, I've found 2 diseases because of googling, and then officially diagnosed !... So I was right, it was not "just in my head" ! Why not ask to AI with writing your symptoms ? I'm sure your disease or syndrome has a name, and it could be healed (I hope so). I worked for 14 years in a hospital and I met a lot of doctors, and I can say a lot of them worry more about their Porsche instead of their patients... Sad but true... Sorry for my bad english, I hope you understand my words.

I am so sorry that you are suffering as well. I will try this. And I hope for a peaceful exit for us both.

You both might need dopamine enchanters like quietiapine etc the problem with sleeping pills and some powerful pain relievers is that chemically they can mimic our natural mood hormones like dopamine, serotonin etc thus the brain thinks there is enough of these hormones and stops producing them!
This also causes addiction and
It's the no.1 cause for withdrawal symptoms like extreme pain, insomnia etc
It's why quietiapine etc is used to help cocaine addicts to get their dopamine, serotonin and other hormones back into production and improve the uptake process. I hope you get a neurologist or neurochemist who truly care for their patients
