im writing this as ive currently reached the point where i dont even have energy nor motivation to clean my room. it has gotten to the point to where i feel ill (headache, nauseous) everytime im in my room due to mold from dirty plates laying around. how do i gain the motivation to clean it and start taking care of myself again? i dont want help from my father because i will feel judged if he sees the state of my room.
pls write advice or share ur experience <3

Just do a chunk of stuff at a time. When you feel up to it, move the dishes to the sink. It'll just take 3 minutes. Next chunk, soak them. Next chunk, wash them. Next chunk, tidy one aspect of your room. Next chunk, Next chunk, until its done. Don't aim for perfection. Just aim for good enough. At each stage, congratulate yourself for what you achieved, and be pleased with how much you can get done in such a short space of time. Don't focus on and be overwhelmed by what's left to do, instead focus on what you've achieved once you've done it. Small chunks.

I can relate, sometimes plates sitting on my floor in room for days and i look at it thinking no it's too much, play some music you love and get it done shortly like it's workout, it worked for me, you will likely feel better afterwards, clean room can put good mood on someone, you can do it :)

i have to clean the entire house, everyday as par my chores. if i slip up and don't do it, i will be hit with belt buckles or sometimes if its something minor like sweeping not done, i'd just get yelled yet. but the SA happens almost every night. i've gotten use to it since its just a daily routine.
seeing my posts here alone you'll see i deserve it for the ignorance i cause here

im a pomodoro method kind of lady. you can look it up on your own, but the gist is that instead of focusing on finishing a task -- like washing dishes -- you do it for a certain period of time. 20 minutes is the traditional amount of time, but there's nothing wrong with cutting that down to whatever gets you to actually get it done.
