I agree. You can never trust a human being, even the ones that are closest to you that you think you know the best. Every serial killer show I've watched has a relative or friend on it who says something like, "I was married to him for 20 years and I had no idea what he was doing when he went out," or "I'd been friends with the guy since kindergarten and he was the nicest guy!" Or similarly, speaking about the victims of these people, their friends and family say that everyone loved them and they didn't have an enemy in the world. Then they come to find out they had a drug habit or something and got killed by the dealer they owed money to. Just goes to show that you never really know anyone fully, 100%. Thusly, no one can be fully trusted imho.

I couldn't agree more. My mother is first to blame she let her cousin sexually abuse myself and my sister, then ultimately my sister did the same I don't blame her she was a product of her environment. I've been raped 3 times all by people I know. My best friend stole £2500 when I needed it the most and then ghosted me. I had two other people I work with steal thousands and pretend to be my best friends. I've been cheated on several times and I have recently had my other friend of 10 years also ghost me. I have friends but I can't trust anyone completely I've been let down to many times.

There are good people about, kind loving souls. Sadly they are vastly outnumbered by the not good.
I find that most of the sweetest souls are found on sites like this, driven here by society.
Just my own thoughts.

I think u can trust some people, but you have to take things slow. Don't give more than you can afford to lose. I mean don't give too much of your heart and resources before you really know someone. Some people don't understand that if u had been raised in a pathological environment, you have to be more cautious in trusting people, and often you attract or are attracted to unhealthy people unconsciously because that was your normal. If you become healthier than the people you draw to yourself become healthier.

Trusted with what? Your life, your heart, your money, your children, your friendship? I don't know that we put every human being we ever meet to this test so it's hard to say they can't all be trusted.

For the cruelest few people I have met, I have encountered dozens of kind, loving people who have been helpful and caring and offered friendship and wanted nothing in return.
