I don't know about other countries but it's easy in our side of the world. Yes when someone breathes in a low oxygen environment replacing it with Inert gas (Helium, argon, nitrogen etc) he just passes out and dies in minutes. No distress or pain. Some say it somewhat feels euphoric before being unconscious.

Well in America nitrogen gas is legal. It's used to make beer so I don't think it's illegal anywhere. One can use helium just as well.

Here's a thorough, informative thread on Nitrogen + exit bag
https://sanctioned-suicide.net/threads/exit-bag-and-inert-gas-megathread.8393/

There are more if you use the search bar for it or for exit bag and check the box "titles only".

It's used in welding too. I would be cautious about Helium though. Balloon companies started diluting it, so it doesn't serve for CTB, unless you can find a company that sells pure Helium.

Don't want to turn all prolife here but those kinds of suicides used as an example for why we must curtail information on suicide and try to stop people. A part of me thinks this news video is just simplifying that man's reason for suiciding.

In Europe they still sell small tanks of pure Helium for balloons. Also in many countries people can buy CO tanks for welding.
People could say it's for the same thing that others buy it regularly. You can always say it's for your friend, relative, for work etc.and you just bought it for them because you were near if they start to ask lots of questions trying to be friendly.

I saw a video on YouTube saying that hyperbad is like the silicon valley of India, and is also the suicide capital of India.

My impression has always been that gas tank are easy to get. But it's the regulators and u need a bag over your head?

I dont think its possible to get pure helium anymore... most of it is cut with oxygen these days.

Company that sells for example helium tanks have information in its Web page that the helium is 100% helium. The trade mark is "CFH Ballooner". I think it's said in the tank too. People can ask from the company straight in kontakt page: https://www.cfh-gmbh.de/kontakt/

I know that in USA they started to mix oxygen to helium long time ago.

It depends where people live. In Mexico cars don't need to have even converters yet.
