I'm seriously considering nitrogen\laughing gas as the only legal, painless and easily available method of a peaceful exit, however, I have some concerns regarding the safety of the ones close to me.

I was planning on getting a breathing mask and a 5L (is this enough? too much?) nitrogen\laughing gas cylinder. I would connect the mask to the cylinder via the flexible tube\horse or whatever it is called, put on the mask and slightly(should I turn it more than "slightly" in order to make it quicker?) turn on the valve to let the inert gas flow via the tube into the mask.

The problem is I'm not living alone and I'd like to know how can I avoid hurting (physically) anyone else in the flat and who would eventually enter the room. Will this setup be safe enough? I mean after I die I wouldn't be able to stop the gas flowing. Will opening the window (can't do it until summer then) mitigate the risks?

Getting a room in a small hotel for the night would raise some questions besides I don't wanna risk taking a large cylinder into a hotel, it would look suspicious and it could alert the ones working there.

I don't have a car.

Any tips?

Thank you kindly.

PS If I get the laughing gas..Would I need a larger cylinder than in case of getting pure nitrogen? What size in litres would u recommend getting?

5L is the minimuu yes, i'm not sure what you mean by mask, the route i'm taking is the scuba gear nitrogen setup. I recommend reading this thread and the included pdf. https://sanctioned-suicide.net/thre...-alternative-to-plastic-bag.16691/post-583987
And yes using a scuba setup would mitigate the risks since the regulator stops working when you stop breathing.

This is what I meant by "mask".

If using such a mask I doubt one would need 5L. Inept gas will accumulate in the mask and it won't get out or at the very least it it would but extremely slowly.

Another question..will "laughing gas" suffice? It's not pure nitrogen. I read reports about people dying coz of the laughing gas without noticing anything

You need pure nitrogen or argon gas

I have a question about the Nitrogen method - I have a loved one that will be with me for my exit, which will either be Nembutal or Nitrogen. If I do the exit bag, can they even be safely near me due to gas issue?

I'd go with argon or nitrogen. You will need much more than 5 liters since the flow rate will be 15lpm. I would not use that mask.

I can use an exit bag but not sure if a person

I have the nitrogen and a good flow meter and the traditional exit bag set up but..can a person be in the room with me or is the gas too dangerous to be near for them?

The inert gases wouldn't be harmful to anyone nearby unless it were to build up to a really high concentration in the room.

I read reports that people died from using Nitrous oxide and they didn't even plan to. They were accidents. They just wanted to have some fun.

Why would I need much more than 5L? Why not this mask? it's specifically designed to let Co2 out and inhale whatever you have attached to the mask

Can you recommend me some masks(not for diving though, I hate them)?

Thanx

No offense meant, my friend, but it seems to me that you haven't spent any time really researching this method. This is very common on this forum, for all methods.

Please take just 10 minutes and slowly and carefully read my long post from January:
https://sanctioned-suicide.net/threads/inert-gas-cylinder-regulator-general-refresher-summary.30657/

The only change I've made is that because some people were having trouble finding a hose barb, I'm now recommending another low-cost regulator that has a barb attached:

This method, its materials and protocols, have been used since the 1950s by many thousands of people. All materials are legal, easy to obtain, when instructions are followed easy to use, 100% reliable, quick and painless. Don't try and reinvent the wheel.

Feel free to PM me with any questions.

I don't think your partner is at risk unless he/she puts on the hood or purposely breathes from the plastic tube.
I have done much research on this method. I purchased a full cylinder of nitrogen gas (40 cf) and the flow meter/regulator for it from a local welding supply store. The hardest part was deciding what to tell them I needed it for. Solution... I said I was "purging" the oxygen out of 5 gallon buckets filled with dry food to be stored for awhile. Replacing the oxygen with nitrogen preserves the food better. The rest of the items can be ordered online from Ebay, etc. (Being a 68 year old female...I really didn't fit the usual type of welder who frequented the store. This food storage seemed much more appropriate and solved the problem.
