• Hey Guest,

We wanted to share a quick update with the community.

Our public expense ledger is now live, allowing anyone to see how donations are used to support the ongoing operation of the site.

    👉 View the ledger here

Over the past year, increased regulatory pressure in multiple regions like UK OFCOM and Australia's eSafety has led to higher operational costs, including infrastructure, security, and the need to work with more specialized service providers to keep the site online and stable.

If you value the community and would like to help support its continued operation, donations are greatly appreciated. If you wish to donate via Bank Transfer or other options, please open a ticket.

Hi all, I have been lurking here for quite some time and decided to register an account. I have found the insights here so useful. Due to the extended pandemic I am considering CTB via SN and may even decide to go if it ends soon. I don't have much of a history of wanting to CTB other than after being put in a very stressful situation for a short amount of time but I am at the end of my rope due to the pandemic. I have already been able to procure all the things i need except for meto. I wouldn't dare try to go to a doctor to get that as I'm sure the place is going to be insanely dysfunctional and I'd be unlikely to walk out of there anyway. Anyone have tips on other methods of procurement (in US)? As other users have previously mentioned I would normally just try to flee the confines of the US and its big pharma system for one of the countries with better laws but due to the pandemic not really an option

Anyway this is my welcome thread I hope others are doing okay today whether they are getting close to CTB or just trying to cope.

I hate what this pandemic is doing, maybe rather how governments have responded to it. The POTUS stated early on that the suicide rate would go up. At least he may have been right about that.

I am so sorry (and tbh angry, not at you but at the situation) how this has pushed you into suicidal ideas

I don't think you said this, but I will,
"Gol dangit, this is just turrible." Or in other words, "THIS SUCKS!!!"

So there.

Welcome.

I was able to weather it well but the latest flare up is much worse and also I know several people who died. I cannot stand being locked indoors but at the same time I won't be like the people who are casually making long trips and unnecessary activities.

I cannot imagine. It hasn't affected me like it has so many others like you. I am old, live alone, in a very small rural community with not much to do anyway. The only difference is now, when doing marketing, I wear a mask. And I do have a very small fenced yard and a small and silly, funny dog so I can at least get outdoors.

How do you younger ones do this? My deepest concern for you. Will you, in forty years, tell your grandchildren about the Great Pandemic of 2020? Nah. They'll just roll their eyes and pretend to listen. The pandemic will end. But many lives will have been changed.

Edit to add: Many will die, many are also being born, but into what, I don't know.
