As i am writing this im pretty mentally stable, i occasionaly lurked here but what pushed me to make an account was missing an inaugural online conference for college and my mom basically saying im just like her unnemployed uncle, i realized im never gonna be able to be "productive" enough for this world (and guess what, literaly only ONE person in my class of 19 attended it! i felt like killing myself for nothing!)

your mum sounds like a crappy person for saying that. i know its hard but tune her out. shes projecting her own BS onto you. dont ctb over this. everytime she does something like that just tell yourself 'this doesn't belong to me. this isn't mine'. don't internalize it. she sounds narcissistic, and these people don't see others. everyone in the world is a mirror to them. so many parents are just traumatized people who never took responsibility for their healing, have kids, and just transfer their trauma onto a sweet innocent baby. break the cycle. return that ish to sender

yeah i felt suicidal in the heat of the moment(i still do at times but for other reasons), i dont think this is whats gonna push me to CTB, she later apologized but im still having trouble trusting her.

well thats good she apologized, she probably realised she was projecting here fear onto you in a way that's damaging. you don't have to forgive anyone instantly. If she apoligised on her own, thats a good sign. I hope things improve for you and you can get off this site, or to the recovery section x
