Need opinions on a method

Cattle captive bolt guns. The things they use to 'humanely' kill large animals. They require no license to own in the USA and are usually under $500 and can be ordered online. They kill by launching a metal rod into the skull at point-blank. Do you think this would be a good method? I'm desperate.

It is designed to instantly kill cattle, who have thicker skulls and larger heads. I doubt I am surviving. I think it would be similar to a point-blank headshot.

There are different types of bolts. "Penetrative" bolts are what I intend to use, and they breach the skull as their piston destroys the contents around the point of contact. Considering that there is only around .7 inches between the epidermis and the brain at the forehead, it should go through the skull quite easily. There are bolts which are designed to only stun livestock, but I will be using the lethal ones.

I would test it extensively first, before ever considering putting it to your own head. Maybe get some things like a large coconut or a big leg of meat from the butcher and see what kind of damage it does. Also consider using it in conjunction with another method as a type of failsafe. And the usual advice of not being found early etc. The risk of being kept alive as a vegetable with such a method, would be very real and so needs to be very well planned.

And do not go through the forehead, it's a bad idea. People frequently sustain injuries to the front part of the brain and survive.
