• Hey Guest,

An update on the OFCOM situation: As you know, censorship around the world has been ramping up at an alarming pace. OFCOM, the UK’s communications regulator, has singled out our community, demanding compliance with their Online Safety Act despite our minimal UK presence. This is a blatant overreach, and they have been sending letters pressuring us to comply with their censorship agenda.

Our platform is already blocked by many UK ISPs, yet they continue their attempts to stifle free speech. Standing up to this kind of regulatory overreach requires lots of resources to maintain our infrastructure and fight back against these unjust demands. If you value our community and want to support us during this time, we would greatly appreciate any and all donations.

I suffer from a debilitating chronic illness/physical disability which has left me bedbound for the last 6 months and in huge amounts of pain everyday. I have decided I absolutely cannot live with this anymore and I am desperate for a way out. Obviously my mobility limits my options.

I have just ordered some SN (I hope from the legit DMC website). But I am thinking instead of waiting another 3 weeks for it to arrive - could I use a plastic bag over my head secured with tape? I know SI would be an issue but surely handcuffing my hands behind my back would prevent me from being able to rip the bag off? I know this is likely to be a painful method but I honestly don't care about the pain at this point. I also read that you would suffocate in around 4 minutes so it would be a fairly quick death?

Yes, it would be a painful method. Yes, it is a very distressing method. The CO2 you exhale into the bag will be breathed back in, triggering the hypercapnic response. You'll be flailing wildly, needing to rip the bag from your head, but unable to do so (maybe) because of your handcuffed hands. You may end up tearing the bag, anyway, just from the wild flailing of your head, or it may tear somehow if you fall from the bed. If the bag doesn't rip somehow, and it is indeed airtight (many bags today have miniscule "holes" purposely placed in them because many children have accidentally died by suffocation when they placed bags over their heads), you will, eventually, suffocate. Frankly, it WILL be a terrifying experience. LITERALLY, ABSOLUTELY TERRIFYING.

I'm sorry you're in such pain and such a distressing situation.
