I don't want reality anymore.

I can't trust that any suicide attempt will work without traumatizing the innocent.

limbo.

I don't know how to get help.

I've tried just about everything.

so I guess this leads to the question: what's been your best escape?

I want to hear stories.

My best escape has been kratom, Benzos, playing a lot of games that I forget to eat, distracting myself at all times, and VR! Virtual reality is awesome and it really does work as a break from reality-sort of. Can b pricey for some but I do have one if the cheaper ones and it works well. Not really a story more of a list but eh

I'm certainly not going to mind lists.

kratom and alcohol haven't been helping me lately. I'm in a constant state of panic. I jumped because my cat meowed. I must have been manic or something for a minute and made some pretty bad decisions which brought up flashbacks. now the PTSD is unbearable when I just started doing better for the first time in many years.

I don't want to be in my head. I need a break.

For the last month watching Bob Ross has been my escape. I just stare at it all day long.

I would highly recommend marijuana if you can get it where you live and as long as you buy from a trusted seller. The CBD in marijuana is a natural relaxer which usually makes for a more relaxing high. I'll tell ya if I had a dealer I'd be high most of the time lol. I really get what your saying about traumatizing the innocent. I've been taking a few days to reflect after I joined here following my first suicide attempt and considering the emotional stability of my immediate family, my sudden and unexpected suicide probably wouldn't help. Maybe play Tetris since it's a simple game you can really get sucked into. Or if you want more of a brain teaser, Sudoku can be easy to get sucked into as well.

For me, it's writing and martial arts. I think the trick is to engage in activities that require total focus and make you forget everything else. It can be anything really: driving, fishing, dancing, painting, meditation, playing chess and go, reading, sewing, and what have you.

have been needing a new hobby. that'd probably help a lot.

pot makes me panic. edibles agreeded with me before, but it's nearly impossible to find any that are gluten free and I have celiac. CBD is usually in gummy form, which has gluten (it makes things stretchy). the pain and sometimes bad hallucinations that come with gluten for me are never worth it.
e: i don't mean to get defensive. i find it gets brought up continuously unless i actually say something in detail or else it's well try it this way then.

Oh shit I'm sorry, you're good I understand how that could get incredibly annoying really fast. I had a casual friend in high school who also had a really bad gluten allergy which she would sometimes vent to me about so I kinda understand where your coming from. Do you mind if I ask what is it about the weed that makes you panic though? I only ask since it usually has to do with your general mood going into the high from my experience. Are you worried about getting caught? If you live in a more crowded area or in an apartment I can understand why it would make you panic, given the smell and that there are horrible narcs out there with nothing better to do than make other people miserable.

I gotcha, I guess it's different for everybody if that's the case. Sorry if it seemed like I was badgering ya, I just thought I would try and help out with what limited knowledge I have but our experiences seem to differ in this case.

I keep my sanity in check with arts and I'll admit to many booze once in a while.

Oh.. And singing, I can't hold a tune for shit, but it feels freeing!

Taking Magic Truffles or Ketamine infusions. Something our brains need a break from reality in order to jump start it.

Reality is stressful and I often wish I could escape from it. I daydream a lot to cope, just trying to get myself mentally away from my life and all the stresses that come with it. If you have a similar problem maybe meditation or other relaxation techniques could help.
