• Hey Guest,

An update on the OFCOM situation: As you know, censorship around the world has been ramping up at an alarming pace. OFCOM, the UK’s communications regulator, has singled out our community, demanding compliance with their Online Safety Act despite our minimal UK presence. This is a blatant overreach, and they have been sending letters pressuring us to comply with their censorship agenda.

Our platform is already blocked by many UK ISPs, yet they continue their attempts to stifle free speech. Standing up to this kind of regulatory overreach requires lots of resources to maintain our infrastructure and fight back against these unjust demands. If you value our community and want to support us during this time, we would greatly appreciate any and all donations.

Sometimes I wonder how ordinary people have normalized the idea of dying of old age, due to diseases that cause unbearable suffering. Maybe they have not realized how much pain you can feel when your rotten body becomes so broken that you are not even able to breathe on your own, or that the pains of your diseased organs begin their course as the final tribulation begins. Why do people ignore all this? Probably their answer is that this is life and death is inevitable, but what they do not want to accept is that at least the tribulation can be avoided if only you leave before all this begins. How do you plan to handle accepting and dealing with natural death if you cannot do CTB?

I refuse to to get old . I already went through a bad stroke at 29. I see my father suffering from copd and how its slowly deteroriating him and coughing all day and will only get worse over time . I dont understand how people are ok with all the suffering humans go through

you explained very well .

i thought this too. glad someone else sees it and so confirms it. i worked in a nursing home. it's unimaginable torture .

it's irrational to want to grow old.

imo they hide how bad old age and diseases of old age are. and how bad regular pain , and how much worse extreme pain and extreme suffering is and can be.

imo it's part of the scam. scam people into thinking life is something wonderful . many people work very hard their whole lives only to end up being tortured for 20 years in a nursing home. at least a gang might torture you for hours , days or weeks but this is years.

they can grow old if they want to . i won't be old nor deal with any natural painful horrible Death because i will suicide before then and be not existing. i will suicide painlessly and quickly

Halfhourdays

Halfhourdays

"Everything was beautiful and nothing hurt."

"Who has never killed an hour? Not casually or without thought, but carefully: a premeditated murder of minutes. The violence comes from a combination of giving up, not caring, and a resignation that getting past it is all you can hope to accomplish. So you kill the hour. You do not work, you do not read, you do not daydream. If you sleep it is not because you need to sleep. And when at last it is over, there is no evidence: no weapon, no blood, and no body. The only clue might be the shadows beneath your eyes or a terribly thin line near the corner of your mouth indicating something has been suffered, that in the privacy of your life you have lost something and the loss is too empty to share."
― Mark Z. Danielewski, House of Leaves

If I cannot ctb, I'm more worried about the real present than my imagined pain as a suffering vegetable in old age. All I seem to do is kill hour after hour doing nothing, waiting for nothing, working on nothing, thinking about nothing.

Dude, cut the crap. If you truly wanted to understand how others think then you wouldn't be using that tone of superiority and othering them so much. Going all "I don't understand how ordinary people *blah blah blah*" is not going to get you anywhere in trying to understand others and how they think. I'm not saying this to be rude or anything, btw. I'm just starting to get sick and tired of this crap and I'm even more agitated than usual because I'm high right now.

Why are you so hostile? They are just stating how they feel on the topic, there is no need to attack anyone.

I'm EJ. I'm always unnecessarily hostile, even when I don't mean to come off as such. It isn't something I'm proud and I should probably work on it, but I'm too lazy to.

I think people have a lot of faith in modern medicine. I've even heard medical professionals say that people don't need to feel pain in this day and age. It's obvious that they still do though. Pain killers like opiods are addictive and the body builds up tolerance to them. Plus, there are side effects. A lot of my poorly relatives used to spend so much time drifting in and out of sleep.

I agree, it's no way to live. I'm absolutely dreading the onset of illness and old age. Even conditions that will make just working harder- arthritis etc. Nah, I feel like I absolutely need to get out before then.

Not that I would even want to be taken care of but, that's another issue. I won't have the funds to ensure a comfortable retirement. I doubt I'd be able to afford a fancy nursing home and even they don't look appealing! I actually think it's barbaric and cruel that we insist people stay alive if they don't want to. Especially when they are suffering.

On the related subject, I spotted this this morning:
