Isn't it narcissistic to expect validation?
That's touched on in the video.
(Short answer: not generally speaking, no, but narcissists do know how to trigger the potential narcissism in their victims, or how young children's "I" is tied to their feelings, etc. But also, the video touches on the misuse of the term "narcissism", as it gets thrown around outside of the context of "malignant narcissism." And there's a difference between the need for connection, being seen by one's partner, a a child needing validation from their parents versus malignant narcissism.
