The date is getting closer so I'm just posting this to get some feedback and make any last minute changes. No, I'm not using meto, and yes I can see this being an inevitable criticism, but acquiring it is difficult where I am (UK) without the use of dodgy online pharmacies that I don't trust and with my GP being very aware of my situation I am sensitive about coming to them with some new and apparently random condition of dizziness/sickness in the (rare) hope of getting it prescribed. If anyone has any suggestions for alternatives that are better than the one I've chosen (prochlorperazine) please let me know!
Apart from this I have some extra diazepam that I'll likely be taking in small doses throughout the day just to calm my nerves, as well as limiting fluid intake in the hours leading up to the SN.

Time | Medication | Notes |
- 8hrs | - | Start fasting |
- 1.5 hrs | 8 x Buccastem M Tablets (~ 15mg prochlorperazine) | Sublabial administration (i.e absorbed under the upper lip), which limits the dosage I can take + taking into account the level of comfort I want to feel |
~ 1 hr | 2 x 400mg ibuprofen + 2 x 500mg paracetamol | Never had any problems taking these medications in combination, might as well take them together |
~ 15 minutes | 14 x 5mg diazepam | 70mg seems like a sensible amount to me, should be effective at putting me to sleep quickly whilst not being so overwhelming that it triggers a vomit response (basing this on my prior experiences with diazepam) |
~ 0 minutes | 25g sodium nitrite (IC) | I could probably adjust it by a couple of grams either way depending on my body weight, but realistically what difference is that going to make... I'll have a second 25g glass ready too |
