Help My parents agreed for me to do the assisted suicide program in Europe. Does anyone know how to do the process?

I am determined to kill myself. I told my parents I will do it. If not now and they put me in a psych ward, then I will kill myself when I get out. If I never go out of the ward, then I will just rot there until I die. I told them I am a bad person that I'm willing to cause all the pain and consequences to everyone I know. I think they realize how serious I am. So my parents seem to be letting me try the European programs.

So for anyone who applied, what organizations should I seek and how is the process? Thank you

Also, getting accepted on the grounds of mental suffering isn't easy.

They require family approve from what I've heard, but that alone isn't enough, so you can't just walk in and say your family are ok with it, and you don't want to be alive and proceed to be euthanized in few weeks. You also need multiple doctors signing and approving you for euthanasia, don't know if local doctors where you live are accepted.

You can get the records from your Psychiatrist, just don't tell them it's for a voluntary assisted death, or they will be reluctant to give them to you. Contrary to what some may think, the Swiss (VAD) organizations don't confirm patient records with foreign doctors, because it violates HIPPA, and no foreign doctor is going to work with a Euthanasia organization.

I know that's surprising considering the type of work they do, but checking with foreign doctors would be a legal and logistical nightmare. It just isn't done based on everything i know.

Pegasos has the most streamlined process, and only requires recent relevant medical records, nothing extensive.

I am officially diagnosed with depression, anxiety, and a "mood disorder" in my psychiatrist's records. However, my current therapist has diagnosed me with Borderline Personality Disorder, but decided to not officially put the diagnosis in the records due to stigma (some mental health professionals may refuse to treat me since some label BPD clients as "high risk").

It is... a lot. Thank you for your sympathy. Trying for so long and not seeing any big progress is one of the main reasons that I am ready to go.

Dignitas is much harder, and requires extensive documentation. Pegasos is your best bet. They charge 5k Swiss Francs to review your official application, if not approved, they will keep 1500 of that 5K for administrative costs. You pay the rest of the money when you are ready to schedule your VAD date. The approval doesn't expire, so you can set the date whenever you want.

To my knowledge, no one has ever been prosecuted for going to Switzerland for a VAD. I think the legal risk is low to non existent, but it might not hurt to pay a local lawyer a few hundred dollars to make absolutely sure.

You don't have to be a member of Pegasos to get a VAD with them. You can't be anonymous because they need to comply with local laws and issue a death certificate. You can't just kill random anonymous people lmao, your identity must be confirmed.

A whole lot of misinformation here. Firstly, there is no waiting line of years, it doesn't work that way. Once approved, you can usually set your VAD date within a month or two. Secondly, Pegasos does not confirm medical documents with foreign doctors, as that would be a legal and logistical nightmare.

I know it sounds crazy, but if the documents look legit, they will go ahead with the VAD. There is absolutely no need to tell your Psychiatrist what you're requesting the medical records for, as Pegasos will never contact them.

Other than that, you're completely correct in saying that getting approved for mental illness at OP's age will be very very difficult.
