Just got an MRI scan and the consultant said there was something wrong but didn't know what it was. Wonder if there are any consultant's here.

The framerate is slowed down so that you can see the brain structures carefully.

No, I am sorry I do not know. But you might want to post this on a medical board. I don't know your condition to recommend a particular one. There are so many, from my own personal research into my injuries.

Also, by consultant, do you mean a specialist versed in these types of conditions?

Edit to add: I am familiar with certain brain scans, but not usually of this nature

Looks like a regular old brain to me. But then trusting a terminally unemployed dude with Frito crumbs on his hoodie seems like a bad idea. How come they didn't interpret the scan for you shortly after you had it? Surely they would collaborate or get an outside opinion if they didn't know what was up right there and then. As opposed to just sending you home with the video.

Yes, I did it months ago but the ridiculousness of the healthcare system in my country means that I never got a report or the images on a disc. I had to contact the hospital under the FOI request.

Is that the highest resolution image set? I don't know how people read x-rays but that seems even harder

What is it with world's healthcare systems? You either have a garbage nationalized system which is (more or less) free, and are forced to wait months for appointments or results, or else it's privatized and insanely expensive like in the US but at least you get answers quickly. It's absurd. You deserve a real answer from a qualified person, Tommy. Still, I am inclined to think if anything serious was on the scan, they would've picked up on it.

They were looking for organic psychosis. I am certain though that there's something as I've been diagnosed twice with autism.

There's a white dot at the back near the visual cortex. The shape of the skull at the back is also very uneven probably becaue of a fall I had as a 5yr old.

Did they say if your aspergers is apparent in the scan? IIRC It can be known to change structures sonewhat, maybe thats why the guy wasn't comfortable making a diagnisus

Neurology is too inaccurate for such inborn things. Its more a matter of neurobiology.
