Suffering shouldn't be a competition.
It doesn't change the suffering but when you lose those things too after having friends and family at one point, you realize it can really actually get worse. I thought I had it horrible when those things/people were still around.. when you lose them too it can bring you to a low you never knew existed. But you're right it's not a competition on who is suffering more. Just another perspective that I didn't have when I still had those things in my life.
I use to still feel lonely around friends and family. They are typically people who can't truly 100 percent understand you and what's going on in your internal world. I could never disclose what was really happening to me to those people. If you do, those people won't want to be around you. You become the person who is too "heavy" and "hard" to be around.

i think a lot of people come to this forum because they literally have no one and some still have people around. It's a mixture, and you never know who you are interacting with. Although I wish I would have tried to be more aware and grateful when I still had people around. It does change things when you're truly alone and isolated. Not that anyones suffering is more or less.
