I don't talk with my grandmother about my suicidality. I barely talk to her at all. But she knows it.
She is religious and one time she told me I really should not ctb I might end up in hell lol. I don't want to insult her and I respect her religious belief. But that's complete bullshit. The churches told this to poor, suffering people in order that they don't escape from their hellish lifes and further get money from them. During my first severe depressive episode I was a little bit scared about hell. But I really thought rational about it. I've read philosophers and this is clearly not what I believe. In my opinion there will be nothing after death. Just the same as before I was born. I don't get tricked into even more anxiety about suicide. I think death is peaceful. But the way to achieve it needs a lot of pain to overcome SI.
