To clear my head a bit before I do it and to make a copium rant about modern gaming, hears a list of games of all the ones Ive played in my life, that I would personally recommend (and a little about why) Also, trying to avoid generic staples like SM64, Ocarina of Time, time etc.
Legend of Zelda: Twilight Princess - imo its easily the best Zelda game there is, people criticize it saying its "too dark" for a Zelda game, I think this is the reason why its better, because its done very well.
Borderlands 2 - The first game was decent, but the second is iconic due to its antagonist, the game plays significantly better than the first and writing cannot be beaten for the series and imo the genre as whole
Super Mario World - Old game for the SNES/GBA but Ive had the most fun playing than any other Mario game to be released. And iirc it was among the first that Ive ever played
Super Mario Galaxy - The second place winner for my best mario game, the writing is kind of meh but everything else, the level design and music are really good.
Elder Scrolls 2: Daggerfall - I really liked this game, so much so I was willing to keep playing after I got 3 game breaking glitches/failures before I even beat I kept retrying. Its also a good game to drone out to while listening to Dream Theater
Battlegrounds 3: Its a Revolutionary war game, theres only one active community based out of the US (if youre EU youre SOL unless you play really late/early) it can get redundant buts really fun with the low effort voice line spam and the fact that the combat makes you learn how to move and act far differently than most shooters
Any of the Uncharted Series: I grew up on this series, at first watching my dad play when I was really young then playing it for myself, really fun game, good writing, comedy, its unfortunate that havent made anymore games but given how some of the stuff thats being released has been turning it out, perhaps its for the best.
Clash of Clans: (this is a meme item)
