Lao Tzu was incredibly wise and have always been enthralled by his words. Aurelius was great and again he has always resonated with me. I gave up worrying what people thought of me ages ago. I maybe suicidal and struggling but am damn proud of who I am. I don't need someone to give me their approval that I am ok. Glad you liked the quotes. I really have a thing for quotes, just such wisdom in a few words-priceless.For some reason, I was expecting the first one to end with a smartass punchline. I was so ready for it!
I absolutely love Lao Tzu's take on the second one.
Marcus Aurelius asks himself why he cares what others think when they are not satisfied with themselves. Ima use both quotes now. Thank you.

Love these.......real good they are. I usually stick to sensible/touching quotes to help me along, but like to have a chuckle too along the way with some funny or sarcastic ones also. Thanks for replying.^
This.
I don't know what punchline I was expecting. Just something wonderfully dark and sarcastic. Okay, fine, I'll try to make something up to do my vision justice.

Or
Don't lose hope.
When the magic bean seller comes,
you'll have nothing to trade.
Or
Don't lose hope.
A pile of shit that big,
there's gotta be pony in there somewhere.
I didn't make that last one up, just reformatted it.
