Over the past year, increased regulatory pressure in multiple regions like UK OFCOM and Australia's eSafety has led to higher operational costs, including infrastructure, security, and the need to work with more specialized service providers to keep the site online and stable.

I went to talk this therapist. He is (i think) my dad's friend. I dont feel comfortable with it since what if he stab my back and tell my parents everything?. I dont know. I dont think i like it so i just told him to give me the pills and i'll go back to take the pills if it works. I dont want to talk with him. I dont feel comfortable with him and talking with him. Also, the pills are just sleeping pills. They just make me sleepy, thats all. I dont feel any better or anything at all. I remember the last time I was at the mental hospital. They gave me those pills that are (i guess) just sleeping pills too. But, they have fat in them so I gained insanely a lot of weight. As someone who have low self esteem and very insecure, and starved themselves and obsessed with being skinny. I got so fucking panic and anxiety. I felt worse than before I took those pills. After that, I overdosed on those pills and also stop taking them. Why do they just gave me normal sleeping pills? Like they just make me sleepy. What if I got an anxiety and panic attacks in the morning? Am I supposed to just go to sleep and tell people that I took my pills and went to sleep bc I have an anxiety? idk. Can someone just talk to me please? I feel so lost. I just want to have the motivation to do things.

You said that this therapist is your dad's friend - is there nobody else that you could see?

By and large therapists won't share the things you say to them with anyone else but if you're worried that your therapist being close to your dad might cause him to share then you should find another one. However, they will speak to your parents if you endanger yourself, as is their job esp. if you are a minor.

Sleeping pills have no fat in them but most sleep & ant-anxiety medication and anti-depressants do cause weight gain, normally you can mitigate that through healthy diet and exercise. Are you sure they only gave you sleeping pills?

It seems odd that they only gave you sleeping pills when you have anxiety.

Sadly, as a sufferer of anxiety I do understand having panic attacks and feeling like medication does not work fast enough. Please look at the anxiety resources in the recovery section - you can try box breathing just to give yourself a bit more time for the pills to work.

Hi, so I'm American, idk where you're from, so things may be different if you're somewhere else, but unless you plan to do harm to yourself or others your therapist legally can't tell anyone your personal information unless you sign a release. Also, a therapist usually isn't going to be in charge of your medication, a psychiatrist is. Typically, people don't do both.

As someone else here said sleeping pills don't have fat in them, but some medications are given because while they technically aren't for one thing, they have the ability to treat it. For example gabapentin is often prescribed for anxiety, but isn't an anxiety medication per se. Ask your psychiatrist for a medication that isn't associated with weight gain.

Also, I hope this doesn't sound insensitive, but you sound extremely young, are you sure this is where you want to be online rn? There are many places that can answer these questions for you that are probably more age appropriate.

I'd like to second this opinion re: your age - if you are a minor, please do look into other resources on other sites, existentialinguine has a valid point.
