I was completely distracted when he suddenly entered the room and saw the forum welcome page. He said: "hmm, studying suicide huh? med students do have to study that".

he knows I am dealing with depression, anxiety and self harm for a lot of time. And tho, college is a major excuse, I am afraid that he will tell about it to my parents.

I opened some tabs with suicide prevention articles and with the DSM-V for this argument to stick. Is there anything else I should do?

Please help. I scheduled everything for next month and I can't afford to lose my privacy privileges. I'm terrified that they might search my room and find the SN.

Maybe you can just say you need to write a paper about it IF they ask, and just downnload something online as proof that you wrote it for a deadline. Stick to what your brother said. But play dumb, and don't mention it again.

Last week my sister found out I visit this site. I lied by saying its only a support group but she knows the truth. The next morning she sprayed some holy water on my head and my room.

If the issue is pushed I would just say it's for depression support, and this community has a better understanding of depression than others. If he doesn't bring it up again I wouldn't either.

Yeah I can empathise me and brother were on a stella session and he went to the toilet and looked at my screen on the way back into the room and said why you looking at suicide sites, I said I want to kill myself, lol he told my mum and god knows who else, he knows my user name so probably reads my messages, first of sorry you want to CTB we need doctors to back our fight for assisted suicide so don't be selfish and bloody live, Ok you could hide your SN somewhere safe in your home and if questioned again say your given positive advice to suicidal people.]

He is intentionally avoiding the issue because that is always easier. Do you want him to do that? If you do then it is as it is. If you don't then you need to level with him, whatever that takes. He won't be happy with it, no one ever is, but that is the honest way to progress. The choice, one way or the other, is yours.

In the future, open two tabs, one for SS and the other for something controversial. If you live in the US, maybe a political site. In the UK, maybe Brexit? Easy to close the SS page with one click, then show him the other and start a convo about it. He will be so involved with that one that he may forget about the SS site.
