Here are two of my favorite ones:
legendary bandMy favorite will always be Evanescence! But depending on my mood, I listen to a lot of different music and artist. It's usually people that I can relate to.

I feel like it's pretty obvious that I like their music. Hell, my username, signature, and title all give it away. I also listen to a lot of OSTs, including ones for media that I've never consumed before, such as Omori and Yume 2kki. I feel like, despite my pickiness when it comes to music, I tend to listen to a wide variety of music genres. I especially seem to gravitate towards different types of rock and electronic music. I'm not a huge fan of modern mainstream pop music and haven't been since around elementary school. Even then, there are times when I do find some music within that category that I like.
As of late, I've been very obsessed with The Garden and with Enjoy. I don't typically become this attached to music artists, so that's saying a lot. Their music scratches an itch that I've never quite been able to reach with other types of music. I also listen to some of their other side projects, such as Penalty Kill and the Romeos.
I've also been finding that a lot of Machine Girl's music, especially anything from BIYAAHESF era up until recently, also does a good job at scratching that itch for me. I also want to try getting more into Femtanyl, but it usually takes me a while to get into an artist.
I also like to sometimes listen to Taeko Onuki on occasion. You might know about her since her song 4 am kind of blew up. She also has a lot of other good music. Some of my favourite songs by her include Tokai, Jaja Musume, Nani mo iranai, and Kuro no Claire.
Same! I love Schubert. I want to listen to his lieder Nacht und Traume while I die.I'm rediscovering my love for classical music right now -- Mozart, Chopin, and Debussy are my top three.
I love Phil Elverum! The Glow, pt. 2 is one of my favourite albums of all time. What do you think of Night Palace, his latest album released under the Mount Eerie name?I like any music that makes me feel the artist is genuine and attuned to suffering, across any genre.
At the moment I really like Bladee. He is extremely real. Actually I love him so much I have to take breaks from listening to him because I feel so attached to him that it's painful. He is maybe a bit of an acquired taste but if you give it some time and listen to the lyrics, it is really good stuff. He raps a lot about his depression and alienation, and he is also funny and cute and spiritual. I like his albums Cold Visions and Eversince the best but he's very prolific and has gone through different phases in his career so there's lots to explore. The Fool and Spiderr are also really good, a bit more happy than the other two I mentioned.
I like a lot of DSBM, I love the cathartic screaming. The band Gris' album Il Était une Forêt… is special. The quality of the screams and the beauty of the music is just so incredible.
I really like Phil Elverum (The Microphones/Mount Eerie). He is another extremely raw and real one. The Glow pt 2 is a classic album with a lot of pain in it. And his album A Crow Looked At Me about the death of his wife is unbelievable. So real about death and grief.
I haven't heard it yet. It takes me a long time to feel ready to listen to new music from artists I really like. I get scared lol. Do you like it?I love Phil Elverum! I got obsessed with it when it first released. I'd say it's probably his most similar work to The Glow, pt. 2, it's very long and sprawling with plenty of very small tracks scattered throughout. The way the album progresses is really unique, it's like a story with multiple chapters. I think you should listen to it, if you like The Glow, pt. 2 I doubt this album will disappoint you.I haven't heard it yet.
