I remember being in love with this girl and chatting with her for the entire evening and night. When it was 6am she went asleep and i was listening to this song on repeat cuz i had so much adrenaline in body and i was feeling so happy chatting with her.
Now it is just a reminder of what i used to have.

I cannot believe that this is going to be my first post on this site, but Oh. My. God. I have the weirdest answer to this question. As a former Extreme Weeb, I have a stack of highly obscure anime music CDs in my closet. I can see them right now from where I am sitting. One of them (possibly from the Tenchi Muyo Radio Jukebox, but I'm not certain) has a song where the singer (Aeka, if you're familiar with the show) laments that even though she lives in poverty, it's ok because she has You.

"As long as you are here, I can live, borrowing your camelhair long johns." Kind of cheesy, but I liked it. Forgive me if I've messed up the translation, because I'm working entirely from memory and I do not speak Japanese. Yes, I laboriously worked out the lyrics with a dictionary and memorized them. It just kind of resonated with me at the time, being a college student and living with my girlfriend, though we had more furniture than the single orange crate mentioned in the song.

I am not going to dig out that song and listen to it, because it will mess me up. I'm crying, just thinking about it. It makes me think of our apartment. Wrapping her up in a scarf to walk to the farmer's market on a winter evening. It was a good time in my life, really, but the signs were there that it wasn't going to last.

I've been alone ever since. If you look up that CD, you will see that it is 26 years old.

For me it's a little different.... I don't know if it will make sense but....
Music that I listened to when I was happy for a short time. Now when I hear those songs,
I remember how good it was then and how horrible it is now.
That makes it so much worse.
