For me it's 'Punch Drunk Love'. I don't think it's an exaggeration to say that it's stopped me from killing myself on several occasions. It's such a beautiful and personal film, and one of the few times I can see myself in a protagonist.

favorite movies i think i have several.

but some of the ones I like are:

Matrix

Braveheart

love story

Scott Pilgrim vs the world

but the last samurai is a movie that I notice a certain connection.
the whole matter of honor and finding something to live or die for is something I always want to find in my life.
that's why that movie stands out from the rest
(although very Hollywood)

'Her' resonated with me a lot with how well loneliness is portrayed.

Been meaning to watch Punch Drunk Love for a while. Even more interested to see Adam Sandler in a serious role after catching Uncut Gems earlier this year.

The Lost Boys - fave film.

Goonies - fave childhood film.

Withnail and I - reminds me of my life, and the futility of life in general. I watch it at least 4 times a year, maybe more and never gets old.

Labyrinth - never fails to cheer me up a bit.

Jay and Silent Bob strike back - "15 bucks little man, put that shit in my hand" nuff said.

Monty Python and the Holy grail - funniest film I've ever seen, timeless.

Human Traffic - like watching a documentary, about me. The film I relate to more than any other I've watched.

Rocky 4 - I fucking love montages! Especially 80s ones.

You mean to say all his other films were meant to be comedies?

Lol, kidding. He was great in UG, very intense film.

Amélie - this resonates so hard with the hopeless dreamer side of me

Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind - this is for when I feel like having my heart ripped out

I don't know what this says about me, but I have five movies I rewatch from time to time:

Bambi
The Lion King 2
The Fox and the Hound
The Rescuers Down Under
Lady and the Tramp 2: Scamp's Adventure

Yeah. My childhood was shit, but these were my favourite movies and when I watch them it's almost like I can simulate good childhood memories. It's kind of comforting I guess, and also easily digested (seeing as it's aimed at children lol). Otherwise I generally have trouble paying attention to the screen so I can't really enjoy movies unless it's at the cinema where there's no distractions.

although Monty Python makes me laugh a lot, I think they did it in honor of them and the life of brian is very good too

Holy Flying Circus

it is similar in style to the originals and taught me a couple of things about religion and society itself

I never really took to Life of Brian, there were parts of it that had me howling like the bearded ladies, or "He's not the Messiah, he's a very naughty boy" but as a film it felt a bit disjointed.

And the 3rd one they did, The meaning of life, I just flat out disliked.

Very hit and miss with me were Python, but I guess that's because it was all written by 5-7 people, some of whom were far funnier than others (as was proven when they all split) it was all over the place and appealed to different people in different parts.

I watched that yesterday funnily enough, randomly popped up on my YouTube, the guy who played Chunk really got on my nerves as an adult just like his character always did. They better get a move on making the sequel they keep discussing, I can't see Feldman living much longer.

Do you have any idea who the fat guy was that was asking all the questions? They made it seem like he was famous and I wouldn't know him from Adam.

The snowman in Frozen? No wonder I had no idea :D

Oh I'm not sure, I can see him having some 'accident' soon, he's talking too much about too many people - folk have a habit of overdosing or dying in mysterious car accidents when they start revealing dirty secrets. I hope not though, being an 80s kid I loved the 2 Corys.

Great underrated film that. Pizza Dude!!

He needs to live, a Goonies remake without Mouth would be shite, none of the rest of them barring Brolin have any real star factor about them. I know Astin was in Lord of the rings and Stanger things, but he's always a side character, and the others are nobodies now showbiz wise.
Feldman and Brolin will be the main attractions, and get Tyson Fury to play Sloth :P

I say that too mate, but morbid curiosity gets the better of me with a Goonies 2. With Spielberg involved it couldn't ever be as bad as the Lost boys sequels. And if you haven't seen them, don't, they're fecking awful. 3rd one isn't as bad as the 2nd but still, I could have give them 50p and it'd have probably doubled the budget. Tom Savini worked on one, which really shocked me, he's usually pretty good.

"I have a love in my life. It makes me stronger than anything you can imagine."

I'm a total film nerd so I could talk about movies all day, but to keep it short, one of my favorites is Before Sunrise. It's the most beautiful, pure, and dreamlike love story, and I always turn to it when I get sad or lonely. This scene, where so much is said and felt despite the absence of dialogue, is amazing:
