I've gone off the deep end.

When I was purchasing my SN, I filled out one of those "auto-fill" things & made a mistake and ordered it in my mom's name.

Anyways, it's Sunday & usually things aren't delivered on Sundays but my 2lbs of SN was delivered minutes ago and my mom answered the door and looked confused.

I told her it was for me, explained to her what happened and told her it was 'salt' & she followed me back to my room & said "What kind" in case she wanted to use some. I told her "it's not the kind you think.. It's for preserving the meat I don't cook." I had to think of something quick.

Luckily I'm the cook in the family or I wouldn't have had any other excuse. She got off my back about it but now I'm paranoid.

The other thing is:

I have digestive issues & I'm tall. How would this impact my SN intake? I also have to work on getting anti-emetics somehow.

That was quick thinking and if you are the cook of the family she probably won't question it.. :) I get the whole being paranoid though.. mines being shipped from abroad and I'm so paranoid it'll be stopped at customs or something! Pleased for you that yours has arrived though :) I'm not sure about the digestive issues.. hopefully someone who knows more about it than me can answer that one for you

I also have digestive problems and what I know is that the only backdraw is if you have wounds in your digestive system the SN will hurt a little bit, but beside that, all the rest can be avoided by using cimetidine and milk of magnesia.

Wow, that is indeed a close call, too close to comfort for my tastes (no pun intended). Since I live at home, even if I get mail of any sort, be it a package, a letter, an envelope, my parents would ask me what it is and what it's for. This is why I am unable to utilize any methods that involve getting delivery to my home, be it an inert gas, certain substances (SN, SA, or whatever), and/or things delivered directly to my home. If I lived away, then that would allow more flexibility but sadly given my living arrangements currently, that isn't an option.

Anyways, I hope you are able to guard your SN very tightly and always have it available if you decide to check out in the future. I wish you the best and peace.

Yup, my mom just leaves me to whatever.. and even if she wanted to use some.. She has no idea what my intentions are nor what it is capable of.. I think the paranoia just comes from me knowing my own intent.. but really, I could leave it out in the open and still get away wtih CTB..

Good luck with getting yours.. too.. <3

Thanks so much for the information. I'm a little nervous about the stomach burning but I've had other issues maybe worse, so it probably won't be that bad...

LMAO... This comment cracked me up.. but the 2lbs was the only one I could find that I was certain was the right one.. it came in 2 days..

Every time I read the "bathsalt" I think about that incident in 2012...lol...

Yeah, that sucks.. big time... :( If one is going to CTB, it should be the most peaceful way they can.. Are you going to wait it out or?...

What did you end up telling them?..... Did you admit what it was for?

Lol.
I told my mom to pick up my package knowing it was SN.
She is too stupid to know. She brought it right to my desk. Piece of cake.

That was some good thinking. Personally I would take out like double maybe triple what you need since you got the big bag and store it in a hidden spot. Just in case your mom wants to actually use it to cure meat.
