When I read internet users talking about Adam Maier Clayton (a dead right to die activist) I always get angry and sad. Many assholes mock him. After his death many wrote may you burn in hell under his Youtube videos. These are really human scum...
Other people/ doctors tell him he was to healthy for assisted suicide. I would never have the strength to underego that pain to advocate for assisted suicide. I kind of admire that. May you rest in peace AMC!
This is the real face of the society when it comes to suicide. People get mocked, not taken seriously or being locked up in the psych ward with no logical reason.

People really can say some awful things. I have lots of respect for right to die activists, as they are campaigning for what should be a basic human right, a death with dignity. People who have not been suicidal are unable to comprehend what it is like. In this society we need more compassion and understanding when it comes to those who are suicidal.

A lot of the comments seem supportive.

"He fought so hard and so long. He tried literally everything under the sun. Every drug, every treatment, every therapy. And when he had exhausted all of his options, his country still turned its back on him. He literally fought for the right to die like a dog has a right to in this country. It's so damn sad. RIP Adam."

"I surely hope that you were wrong about the whole "no afterlife" thing. I am not so sure about whether there is or not myself, but I surely hope that there is one so you can experience consciousness without such immense suffering. I've been sexually abused hundreds of times throughout childhood, verbally abused for all 17 years I've been on this earth, and dealt with mild physical abuse intermittently throughout my life. I am not a fan of comparing situations but I would 100% refuse to trade lives. The fact you held on for so long is so freaking admirable. And I know hearing that would make you feel weird because people have told me the same thing, and it's just weird to have people surprised that you haven't killed your self yet. But like, I haven't. And I'm sorry you had to. I'm lucky because when I move away from this town, I won't have to be surrounded by my abusers. When you were alive, your BRAIN was the abuser. I don't really know what to say, man. You were incredibly resilient while you were alive and I aspire to attain that level of strength. You are absolutely amazing."

"
This self-sacrifice is incredible. Your sacrifice was not in vain. Im sure you have inspired many people, you have definitely inspired me (a med student) to advocate for you. Obviously, I will not advocate suicide without caution, but I will keep in mind that some patients with mental manifestations of illness who have seeked all help possible and who do not have significant delusions of the world might require assisted suicide. Thank you, I have a deep sense of love and gratitude for you."

I understand it might be hard to focus on those though. Maybe reading them will make you feel a bit better.

We are all going to face consequences of the damage we've caused by what we've said online...
People are so soft thinking because that website they were a horrible troll on is gone that their words died with it. Nope... The Internet wasn't a lovely gift, it was made to control us.
But some good that comes from it is is morally exempt Bullies will get their commupence. The technology had been on the black market for modest prices for a few years but...
We all will soon have access to be able to pay to find out who said something to us 'anonymously'.
Its going to be so much fun. Horrible evil trolls who enjoy hurting people getting knock pm the door always looking over their shoulder, those people will finally know what pain is.
