Help Missing messages?

I was away + unable to access SS without the proper discretion until now and when i accessed my messages i found that one whole message thread has been deleted? It's just gone.

I thought personal messages couldn't be deleted without both members removing themselves from the conversation and then actively deleting it?

Did anyone have this issue of having a whole (very long) message thread vanish?

Losing connection + these messages with this person makes me very sad.

Is there something i'm missing? A way to find missing messages? A restore message button? I'm totally tech-inept.

I've had this happen before too, I wish I knew the cause but I don't. Atleast I can tell you that it's not just you.

Thank you for your kind reply. I feel better knowing that- but sad for those of us who have lost touch without ever knowing about those we connected with.
