Over the past year, increased regulatory pressure in multiple regions like UK OFCOM and Australia's eSafety has led to higher operational costs, including infrastructure, security, and the need to work with more specialized service providers to keep the site online and stable.

If you value the community and would like to help support its continued operation, donations are greatly appreciated. If you wish to donate via Bank Transfer or other options, please open a ticket.

Hello all,

The Government of Canada is evaluating the public opinion on Medical Assistance in Dying (MAID).

Preface:
In September of last year, the Quebec province had a judgement concerning MAID and being unfair under the current requirements of law. The judge ruled in favour of removing the current MAID requirement (needing death be foreseeable).

That makes more people eligible for MAID and when suffering an illness or disability that's physical or psychological. Basically, death doesn't have to be foreseeable to be eligible and only if the government doesn't get in the way of the ruling. The Judge's ruling will go into effect in March of this year.

The Government is currently having a questionnaire where the public can share input (yes or no and write short comments).

Please go here to find the questionnaire:
