Follow-up to this: https://sanctioned-suicide.net/thre...ribly-i-want-to-quit-what-should-i-do.213437/
I told my coworker what happened. He was not happy about it.
I eventually told him that I don't like working for them, because of that incident. And that the reason I haven't left is because of him.
He said he prefers to leave as well. We went through the contract. It said we need to give a 14 days' notice.
But I consulted my friend about this, and he said that's actually illegal in the UK. Unpaid internships are considered voluntary, and he said we don't need give a 14 days notice.
I had something of a supervillain speech prepared, but my coworker was far more professional.
He was the only one who talked during the meeting, he said that he talked with me, and given recent events, we are both quitting.
And he said he would recommend them working on management, for future projects, or if they wish to continue on this project.
(they were basically AWOL, and 3 people left within the 1st month. It has been 3 months, and they still haven't set up gitlab for us.)
We wished them luck. And Left.
I did my evil smile every now and then.
But all I said was "good luck"
My coworker talking to them very politely was more savage than anything I could've done or said.
