Just a topic to discuss random things you've done when manic, share experiences. Last time I randomly started talking to a friend of a friend who I'd never met (I'm not sure why) and we met up the next day and I ended up getting a bus with them to their house, sleeping with them and then got completely lost when I left the next day as I was really out of it and didn't know where I was. I feel they could have looked after me a bit better but maybe that's what you get for chatting to random people.

Most insane were when i used to work in the police. I had no idea i might have any kind of mental disorder and i'm in episodes.
Every special operation with me used to end with lots of party and alcohol till morning. They even asked me to stay for a few more months for the summer when i wanted to quit, just for the fun. One time i left the crimescene to have sex and went back to work in a few hours, and i was running the protocols.I said that i had to have sex. I showed middle finger to stupid colegue of mine in public again at a crimescene. The people at the hotel liked me for doing what they actually wanted to do and deleted the video recordings :).
Again while at OP we got one guy with little drugs and then we went to the stipclub. Sometimes at the beach, cinema. While other people needed 12 hours do to the work i needed exactly no more than 5 minutes in mania. Same results but lots of fun.
When i went to a new position on the 2nd day i locked a girlfriend of mine with handcuffs and left her there for the joke. Ya, my new chief saw this :).
Before i switched positions i said to my former chief that i'm going to quit anyway in an year, so why not change the atsmophere a little bit.
Pushing all the buttons and driving mad inside an official police car, hahaha.
I was chased for a short time by a police patrol too, oops.
Giving lessons how to do some crimes the right way to some suspects, so they won't bother me next time.
I was not able to hide my happiness and impression when someone kept his mouth shut, as this happened very rare.
Lool this one was....like...
We had to be at a place near a hotel as hidden security. One specificaly problematic politician was going there for an official press meeting. I still find him very crazy and funy, but he was known for his negative impact specially on police officers. When he got out i was listening music with my ipod, but this was stronger than me. I stoped my music, touched the white handset and said "yes mister president, we found the sex bomb.". The chief of my chiefs was next to me and i saw how his face went faded along with their faces :). The "big" politician heard me. And this was 30 minutes after i shot him with my fictional bazooka when he looked at me. I used to think, and i'm still thinking that politicians have less power than me, if they even have any (mostly braincells).
That's only the tip of the iceberg and lasted couple of years. I'm still crazy but the impact i'm having now is a little bit more private.

I rarely do anything crazy crazy while manic. Just spend shit loads of money that I don't have, wake up at 3am and do a full face of makeup and hair, overly OVERLY happy, feel invincible. Feels kinda boring lol.

Randomly went out clubbing on my own at 1am, ended up with a group that invited me to a house party miles away in some bumfuck village, it wasn't a house party it was an orgy with old dudes with cameras and stuff everywhere. I left without getting involved, took almost a day to get home, still in my clubbing gear with very little money and no phone or bank card, coming down from the mania as well the class As I'd taken whilst out.

Haha, yeah I look back on it now and laugh, it wasn't funny at the time though, walking miles while grumbling to myself, passing pubs I couldn't go in cos I was borassic.

I've got sooo many stories from my clubbing years, most of them involving crackpots and weirdos. I don't even think that clubbing culture really exists anymore, the early 90s to early 2000s seemed to be the real peak of dance music culture, then MOS commercialised it with shitty Ibiza CDs mixed by Judge Jules and nights costing £50 a ticket cos they had to pay some radio 1 berk for his 2hr set.

I've no idea wat clubbins like now. I did walk into a little bar a few years ago that was exactly same vibe as the random basements I'd find myself in in the 90s. So I hope it's still alive and well

I only stopped Djing around 5 years ago so I never really left clubbing, just saw it from another angle. I've been to a few in the past few years as a punter, places that are meant to be quite chilled in their atmosphere and ambience, not a place lager louts go.
All just seemed superficial, very few people were dancing like they were feeling the music, almost everyone looked like they didn't know how to let themselves go, too worried about what others would think or something. Tapping away on phones everywhere etc. No sweaty people, no bottles of water, no dodgy looking geezer wandering around. All very civilised but very unrelaxed.

My mate and I were talking about it after we left and we came to a conclusion maybe we'd have been the exact same if camera phones had existed then. Would we have been so uninhibited knowing you could end up on Facebook/YouTube etc within an hour? I don't envy the younger gen, they're being watched 24/7.

And I'm bound to say this, cos it is the law that when you're old and past your prime you say this - but dance music now sucks arse. I grew up through acid house, rave, drum and bass, US funky house, Italian piano, speed garage, hard house, UK garage then I got out the club scene as a consumer round about when trance and superclubs and their mix CDs really took a hold. Even then it felt like the scene was dying.
So many different styles in the space of a decade or so. Since then there's been very few periods of one style being the dominant force or kickstarting a movement - stuff like donk and bounce (pretty much the same) and the revival of jungle thanks to Rudimental seemed to stir up some interest for a while I guess but never really took over.

I wrote a long reply and it disappeaed . I miss that life. Lucky to have been part of it
Found it :)

I can't cope with people filming all the time, and at that time I'd run a mile from a camera so... This cctv world gives me pure jitters.

I kept meaning to go back and see what was happening club wise, I stopped and started again around 2000 but then just took to drinkin in locals.

Yeah me too, happiest part of my adult life for sure. Work all week and go mad all weekend, rinse and repeat. Met some fucking awesome people along the way too. I'm glad I was there when it really was at the pinnacle although I'd have loved to have been just a few years older to have seen Hacienda and the illegal raves that got Maggie and her crowd so frightened. There's a film on Netflix called Weekender, that's a pretty good movie about when it all kicked off, just kids finding a warehouse and filling it with speakers and a pair of decks, charging people £20 for the privilege of getting in. I missed all that by about 2 years.

Hm... Never stole anything my entire life until I was manic then, everything was up for grabs. Moved a homeless stranger into my mom's house without saying anything. Destroyed my finances by buying things that I gave away as gifts. Made lots of "friends" and unfortunately kept getting involved with people who weren't single. Almost got arrested a few times. Walked all over the city and almost moved to California to because I was in "love" but ran out of money. I also nearly changed my name but again, ran out of money. So nothing too spectacular.

The best part was the endless poetry I was able to produce and how happy I was.
