I've never been able to get any definitve answer to this : How much potency would an original bottle of N lose once opened. Let's say that it was tightly closed back shortly after being opened, and kept in a dark, dry place at room temperature ( not refrigerated ). How much potency would it lose after a year ?
The answers I found from my research are all over the place, some say a month, some a year , some a couple of years, etc.. Also how much loss of potency would that be , like 10% or 90% after a year ?

Anyone with real knowledge of chemistry here knows ?

You are not able to get an definitive answer, me neither.
And guess nobody will do.
While you had not take off the seal.

There's too many variables for the answer you're asking. You would need an identical bottle, handled in the same way, stored the same way, and tested at intervals to determine the loss of potency to time.

You could always just have it tested before you plan to use it and hope it's still good enough as well. Which I'd do if I was in that position.

I can only tell you about the info I get from my friend which is a vet. They use it within 8 weeks from open the bottle

Hi

I read that Vials containing medicines react with the stopper rubber. This has caused latex allergies in patients in hospital. Will N have same reaction. Does it cause degradation of the N.

Can you get a test kit from Exit International?

Well you can go for a dosage calculation and test at anxyilitic dose to see if it s efficient.
Barbiturate are not really recreational. "Nembutal numbs it all", it s an iced cold psychic feeling.

Did you find an answer to this? Does it diminish the quality of the N?

I don't know to be honest, but I can imagine it would be significant. That said, I wonder if mixing a bit of ethanol would suffice in preserving it like it would a plant extract.

You don't want to open the bottles. If you do, you'll only have a month to use it. It's pretty stable. Just thought if it's lying down on its side for months, then it might have an effect. I don't think it would degrade it a lot. If that was the case, there would be more information about not lying it on its side. Where did you hear that it degrades the N? I heard a similar thing so got worried.

Eh, I don't mean it lying on the side. I meant that if it's been opened, it would go bad or lose potency rather fast. But if one did open it, I wonder if having it be in an alcoholic solution like a tincture would suffice in prolonging its shelf life. It hasn't been mentioned before, but granted... I don't really thing anyone has really thought of it.

Question kinda formed in my head when I read something about dolethal or some formulation of nembutal not being sterile or stable in solution. And alcohol acts as a preservative in inhibiting and killing bacteria and stabilizing compounds.

Oh right. Yeah wires crossed. Yeah, I dunno. I think that's once it's opened you just need to drink it ASAP. Mixing things with it might just agitate it. That would be a nightmare getting it when it's already been opened like some did on here.
