I'm interested, too. Is it a chatroom discussion or a video chat where you can actually talk to people? I'm visually impaired, and chatrooms don't really work with my screen reader, but if it's video chat, I can probably attend.
By the way, I tried to PM you, and it said I may not start a conversation with you. I don't know why.
Whether I can join or not, due to accessibility of the platform, it's a great idea, and thank you for getting the ball rolling on this. I sometimes attend peer to peer support groups at this organization called Nami, but they all suck. Everything is so sensored there, and everybody just talks about superficial shit. Whenever I voice my issues, none of the peers really have much to say. It's usually only the facilitators who respond to me and try to be helpful, but that's b/c they feel they have to since they're facilitating the group. And, if you even so much as HINT at suicide, you are automatically in danger of being 5150'd because there is always one facilitator who is a freaking mandated reporter.
Honestly, I don't even know why I still attend those groups. Loneliness, I guess, and a desire to connect with other suffering people. Only I ever only truly connect with people on here.
Sorry for the rant. Hope to hear from you soon. If it's a chatroom discussion, I'm not going to be able to attend, but I really appreciate that you put yourself out there like that for peer to peer support. I think you are awesome!
Warmly,
Cupcake
