Hi.
Due to limited resources(ie. Clothing, bedding, shoelaces) I rely on tying ligatures(something around my neck) and attaching it to something in order to attempt partial. I try and try but cannot get it right but I know it's possible as I know a lot of people who can and successfully reach that point.

I'd like some images to refer to for this, as I know what I need to do, but not what it should actually look like. I've looked at the hanging thread and info about partial, but I only really learn from visual information.

thanks.

Thank you. I have looked and found a few before but none really of help with the materials I have and the thread is so long it's like looking for a needle in a haystack. But I'll continue looking.

While I'm going to be attempting the SN method personally, I have done some practice with partial hanging and will share the things I've learned.

Start by practicing locating both of your carotid arteries, there the source of the pulse in your neck (your jugular veins do not pulse with your heartbeat, your carotid arteries do). They're a bit tricky to find, I can only really reach mine with this method:
https://sanctioned-suicide.net/threads/cant-find-my-carotid-artery.29991/post-546779
When you find them, feel around them to isolate them and make sure what you're touching is indeed the pulsing artery. Then, don't press in towards your windpipe, but press back and up, as if you were trying to touch your thumb to your pinky fingers in the back of ur head, you should start to feel wobbly or dizzy after a few secs, and your hands and arms will get weak and you'll be unable to maintain pressure unless you've got hella grip strength. When you do it correctly you should NOT feel ur face filling up with blood, if that happens it means you're also compressing your jugulars which prevents blood from escaping your head. Wiggle ur fingers around to get them out of the way and focus purely on the carotid, you want it to be isolated. You do have to squeeze quite firmly to shut the arteries, your brain will increase ur heartrate once blood flow reduces which forces you to keep a really tight grip to get them shut (I'm not able to fully close mine with my hands) If you have STRONG HAND you should pass out in a matter of seconds, if you're like me, you'll get dizzy in around 10 secs and be unable to maintain your grip. Anyways, the lowest level on ur neck that you're able to do this compression is your sweet spot, and where you should be placing your ligature. Sadly when you do hang it's going to be uncomfortable as it places quite a lot of pressure on your windpipe (supposedly this can be sidestepped if you place the noose below your adams apple but I have been unable to close the carotid with this placement dispite completely hanging by holding my knees to my chest for 8 secs [couldnt last longer as my noose slipped up my neck and gave me a nasty rub burn and shocked me into standing up]). To the best of my ability I'm unable to get around this windpipe discomfort, it's something you gotta practice and ignore. I've heard that the ideal compression technique is to do your hanging standing and lean forward with all your weight to compress your artery quickly, your full weight will be enough to close it and you'll pass out in around 5-15 secs - I dont have a place to test this and all of my experimentation was in a kneeling position leading to less than ideal force. Make sure your ligature is already p tight before you put weight on it so it doesn't slip out of position like in my botched attempt, if you pass out and the noose slips out of position you may regain bloodflow and wake up confused and with a ligature closing your windpipe. This method seems doable standing but I'd need to find something tall enough to tie to that would support my weight. As such I've decided to try SN and will come back to this if poisoning fails.

As for materials, I was using a neck tie which supported my wieght (145lbs, 66kg) well but may have been too wide and not applied enough concentrated pressure in one spot. Ive heard of people using shoe laces as a ligature, you could make a shoelace ligature and tie it to some longer thing to form a noose out of the two pieces, may want to braid multiple laces into a small rope as one will be thin and will probably dig into your neck if it doesnt outright snap
