So, I'm on a psychiatric ward and wouldn't get away with partial suspension hence the use of strangulation, I think I've figured out how to compress the carotid arteries... After trying for years and years. But, my problem is that I can't handle the intense dizziness without panicking and untwisting the tourniquet, is there any way I could try to get over this as there's no avoiding it? I sit on the floor with my back against the wall but still feel like I'm on a fairground ride or even like when I feel dizzy in my dreams, it's so intense and horrendous.

I have, it doesn't help me though :(. It's so frustrating because it took me so long to figure out how to compress the carotids and I even believed I wouldn't be able to due to being obese but nope, I've figured it out! But I can't get past the dizziness, it's like nothing I've ever experienced before. I'm sure that eventually I'll be able to but it's driving me mad, I just want to die.

Torn strip off my leggings, it's not the compression causing me problems, it's me not handling the dizziness. I've another plan I can hopefully execute next week so less problems now I guess.

Is there no chance to get out of the ward and then do it?

My new plan is to get unescorted leave and jump/fall from a multi story carpark that I can get to within the time frame and even then, they won't know where to look until I'm already dead (hopefully)

Leggings being elasticated cotton trousers, I ripped a strip off them and tied it round my neck, tightened with a pen or pencil tourniquet.

Falling from a multistorey carpark, I'll take plenty of, but not enough to black out, benzos beforehand so I just don't care

How tall and overweight are you? I'm afraid of failing at hanging as well because of being overweight too.

I'm not hanging and I don't know my current weight but I almost succeeded at partial suspension prior to admission here

So the tourniquet method can be used by overweight persons?

Yeah, though I guess maybe not if someone is morbidly, morbidly obese but I'm not sure.

I can now easily find and compress them with index and middle finger on both sides. So big guys with a fat neck like me should be able to use this method.

Too bad I need to use extra paddings on both sides that simulate the fingers pressing down which I haven't found yet that works every time. BurningLights suggests using rolled up socks and duc tape but that's too big and wide for me.

Whereas I can't ever get them with my fingers, just whatever I tie found my neck.
