Okay, so this is my first post on here, but I've browsed around without an account for a while.
I'm looking at ligature strangulation and hanging as kinda my two ideal methods, given my circumstances.
Here's my question though: aren't these two methods essentially the same thing? I mean, they both focus on cutting off the carotids via ligature, the difference being that ligature strangulation is supposedly easy and painless, while hanging has a higher success rate. What if I use the same knot and everything for hanging myself, but I don't have an anchor or anything, and I essentially just tie it around my neck like with ligature strangulation. Would this work? At this point, I don't care if it's painless or not, I just want to know if it'd work because i can't find any good anchor spots in my room
