Instead, life is about fiction. Life is about feelings. Life is about absurdity. Life is about solipsism. Life is about lies. Life is about impulse. Life is about illusion. Life is just about a whole bunch of inane vulgar crap and little else.

Life is a postmodern concept, and it has been this way since thousands of years before postmodernism got cool. Life is a criticism. Life is an irony. Life is a deconstruction. Life will tell you all about the problems but it gives you no tools for making any solutions.

Life is your own subjective story, equally valid with anyone else's. No matter how much anyone else will dress up their story, it will never become more valid than yours. Because every way a story can be dressed up is fake. There are real things in this world. But life isn't about them.

Always great to be reminded of how subjective things are, it's very comfy and I barely ever think about it. "We" are still more or less forced into certain perspectives due to how the brain works, but that's still just another way of looking at things.

Because you can love and hate the same thing at the same time, but you can't love and be indifferent to the same thing at the same time.

Edit: to be more clear I'll illustrate: I've read the summary of your love story that you posted. It's a normal thing to have feeling about people. Now, imagine that besides having these feeling for people, it's also possible to have these feelings for ideas.
