Discussion Letter to my dog's next owner

Anyone else writing some kinda letter for their pet's next owner. For the longest time I told myself I had to wait until he was gone, but earlier this year knew I just would never make it that far. He'll be 8 at the end of the year, but he's a small breed and the life expectancy is around 15 years. I've had him since he was 10weeks.
I'm not sure if it'll be written as an actual letter to the owner, but I do plan to write some basics about him and basically have an electronic folder that would be helpful in his next home. I highly doubt my family would keep him, they don't hate animals but they aren't exactly pet people.

I have an informal will written in my note that I'm leaving my dog to my mom and only she can have him. I would get a real will but I'm in my late 20s so that would be really suspicious. I waited for my other dog to pass but I doubt I can with my other dog..he is 5 and could live to 15ish too. I hope he will bring my mom comfort after I'm gone.
