Alright, I've started fasting, and will be keeping this thread updated as I go. My goal here is to provide documentation and a timeline (sorta) of events over the next five hours or so as I attempt to manage the complications that lead to my failure previously.

previous thread documenting failed attempt and brainstorming current plan: https://sanctioned-suicide.net/thre...attempt-1-attempt-2-plan.187905/#post-2761002

Currently fasting, took Zofran 4mg a couple hours ago, just to manage any nausea as my blood sugar fluctuates. I'll be using glucose tabs to prevent hypoglycemia symptoms which as I said in my linked post, were a problem last time. I also took a 1mg Ativan earlier, to manage anxiety throughout the day and have been taking hits of my weed pen, also managing anxiety.

Will continue to update

Anxiety update: I want to list some things I'm doing that aren't just taking substances to manage my anxiety. for me, anxiety is a major factor in attempts so tonight aside from medicating I've been:

1: going about things as normal, as much as I can without interfering with the regimen. This helps me prevent the night from feeling like a death ritual, that hasn't worked for me in the past.

2: doing things I enjoy. I'm playing games, I cleaned my guitar. stuff thats relaxing and enjoyable to me, without feeling like I need to fill the time with anything specific or sit in the sorrow.

3: not bothering with loose ends. I think this has been a major mistake of mine in the past. I try ti tie everything up neat, say goodbyes, and thats a problem because it puts a pressure on me that creates an anxiety hanging over the night. I want everything to work tonight but I don't want to feel like people will hate me or be in for some kind of emotional whiplash if it doesn't work, so I'm not worrying about what happens after I'm out.

had issues with low blood sugar, acidic stomach. fell asleep for TOO long, managed with glucose tab and and antacid. Will be getting out KN in 30
Now taking 24mg zofran and getting everying out

Note: the disintegrating tabs are useful for all this, not adding any more water to potentially throw up when I'm restricting water.

Dissolving: 40mg crushed Ativan in one small glass, 400mg propranolol with the KN in the other glass.

Aborted after throwing up. failed to clarify earlier. Physically feel like shit but never passed out. don't feel i need medical intervention for the nitrite. severe headache, vomiting any water, crackers, etc I attempt to ingest, dry heaving a lot.

lot of overlap between hypoglycemia symptoms and the effects of nitrite so not sure what's what rn, the nitrite is preventing me from being able to get my blood sugar back up now that I've aborted for now so if I go to the hospital that will be why. as a method I think its relatively safe if one needs to abort and threw up before loss consciousness. more complex if ur diabetic

im ok guys, the worst of my symptoms throughout yesterday were due to hypoglycemia as a result of extended fasting, I'm diabetic and underweight with other health issues so my blood suagr goes out of wack easy and fasting for 16+ hours made me ill, KN just made me puke/dry heave uncontrollably, sore, headachy, and unable to get anything in me to raise my blood sugar.

I still think SN/KN (kn being more accessible now) is a reliable method relative to its accessibility for people without these health issues. This has proven to me that the regimen is very important, the chemical actually being emptied from the stomach into the intestine is important, and if that doesn't happen this method has a higher chance of failure. Hopefully this was informative to people so it wasn't a complete waste.

I'm not pharmacologically knowledgeable so I hope someone who knows more can reply, but aren't these doses very large? (Especially combined with doses you took earlier) I'm just going off the standard doses of 8 mg every 8 hours for Zofran, 2-6 mg per day for Ativan, and 80-240 mg per day for propranolol. I don't know if you were previously prescribed these meds and thus were taking them at higher dosages than someone who had never taken them, but even taking that into consideration it still seems far above the maximum daily dose for several of them, which seems like it would risk nausea and side effects.

I don't know if this is a problem for Zofran specifically, but I've heard of a paradoxical effect where AEs can cause nausea if taken at too high of a dosage. It seems like the generally agreed upon guidelines with SN are to take as few extra meds as possible, and to do so at regular or slightly above regular dosages. Again, I could be totally wrong and there could be reasons for doing it differently with KN, but I just wonder if this puts you at a much higher risk of vomiting.

And I worry for you doing an attempt so soon after the last one, with how your body had a bad reaction to it. Hoping you don't have to experience bad side effects this time, and remember there's no shame in changing your plans to a different date if you feel that's the right thing to do 🌻

Any reason you are fasting for 16+ hours? It takes only 4-8 hours to empty the stomach which is ideal for quick absorption of any substance. Any reason you are going significantly longer? This may help with your hypoglycemia.

Zofran is taken at 24mg for highly emetogenic chemotherapy, I figure since SN/kn is also highly emetogenic, it was warranted.

that wasn't in my protocol, I was just engaging in eating disordered behavior the day before and then I fell asleep for the night when I meant to take a short nap.
I was actually intending to fast for less time that attempt, then fell asleep :/ and prior to my fast I hadn't eaten foods that had set me up for a stable time with my blood sugar either, didn't really do that this time either but I'm not fasting for as long so hopefully wont be as big an issue.
